Awareness Program on Women’s Safety and Empowerment – “Call for Help”
Moradabad, October 4, 2025 — The Department of Physiotherapy at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), in collaboration with the NSS unit and Uttar Pradesh Police, organised an impactful awareness program titled “Call for Help” under Mission Shakti 5.0. The initiative aimed to create awareness about women’s safety, empowerment, and the importance of timely help.
Dignitaries and Guests
The event began with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolising positivity and knowledge. The session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Shivanee M. Kaul, HOD of Physiotherapy and Nodal Officer of Mission Shakti 5.0, welcomed the guests.
Key dignitaries in attendance included:
- CO Shri Rajesh Kumar Ji, who spoke about digital arrests and preventive measures.
- SHO Shri Yogesh Mavi Ji
- MST Shrimati Chand Prabha Ji (Prabhan) – provided awareness about available helpline numbers.
- SI Shrimati Swati Choudhary Ji
- SI Shri Sukesh Kumar Ji
- SI Shri Prashant Tyagi Ji addressed cybercrime and how women can seek immediate help.
Key Messages on Women’s Safety
The officers emphasised the role of awareness in ensuring women’s safety. They highlighted crucial helpline numbers — 1090, 112, and 181 — while also explaining ways to safeguard against cybercrime and digital offences.
The interactive session not only informed participants about preventive strategies but also inspired confidence among women to step forward and seek help when required.
Acknowledgement and Coordination
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Shivanee M. Kaul appreciates the contributions of UP Police officials, faculty, and organisers.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr Shipra Gangwar (PT), Dr Priya Sharma (PT), and Dr Himani Rathi (PT), with support from Dr Harish Sharma (PT) and Dr Ranjeet Tiwari (PT) in its execution.
