Alumni Talk: Journey from TMU to Germany

September 8th, 2022. To enlighten the students excelling in leadership roles and delivering high-end projects, virtual alumni connect program held featuring Rajiv Mishra and Nisha Verma (2010-14 Batch) by the Alumni Relations Cell (ARC), Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad on Wednesday. The theme of the sessions was Alumni Success: Journey from TMU to Germany.


The session began by welcoming all the dignitaries, guest alumni, and students by Prof. Nikhil Rastogi, Jt. Registrar Alumni Relations. Introducing our first alumni, Rajiv Mishra, who was a B. Tech (CS) student of the 2010-14 batch. He is working as a Technology Architect in Bearing Point, Germany. Upon discussing his journey by recalling the good old days, Rajiv shared how the University has helped him in gaining technological, cultural and social skills. While motivating the students, he said, “It doesn’t matter what others are doing. It matters what you are doing”. It was a delightful talk.


The zoom session was later joined by our second alumni Nisha Verma, a B. Tech (CS) student of the 2010-14 batch. She is currently associated with Infosys and is working as a Technology Analyst in Germany. Nisha shares the hardships faced on her journey from TMU to Germany. Additionally, she showed the path to students of getting a job in Germany along with the perks of working. Later Nisha ended her words by stating how she is touching heights by studying at TMU with a combination of education, discipline and facilities.


In both sessions, the students learned the value of striving hard, being persistent, and focusing on their dreams. The students were receptive throughout the session and voiced their concerns and queries, which were outstandingly answered by both alumni. Students from various colleges like Polytechnic, Engineering, management, Pharmacy etc took the session.


The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Raghuvir Singh, graced the occasion with his inspiring words. According to him, alumni are the real heritage of the university. Later, while pushing the students, he stated, “Getting to the top of your career requires you to step out of your comfort zone. Changing your mindset opens up a world of possibilities.” While ending his words, he wished all the best to the students for their bright future.


With this, the session ended with a smile on everyone’s face. It was a grand success. The national dailies in UP, Gujarat, and Rajasthan even covered this talk.


According to the tradition of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, the alumni always live in a traditional bond with the present students and from time to time bear the responsibility of guiding them both professionally and personally.
