Alumni Meet at Faculty of Engineering: Ex-Students Interact with Juniors, Share Ideas and Opportunities

On 1st Oct 2022, an Alumni Meet was organised at the Faculty of Engineering, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad. The event was graced by more than 155 alumni from various pass-out batches, ranging from 2012-2022 in both offline and online modes. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Shri Jaipal Singh Vyast, MLC Moradabad, and Shri Suresh Jain, Honorable Chancellor, TMU, with all the faculty members.


Shri Suresh Jain, Chancellor of Teerthanker Mahaveer University, motivated all the alumni with his address and encouraged them to share their life experiences. He said that it is a matter of great pride for the university that its alumni are holding top positions in various government, private, and academic institutions in India as well as abroad and many of them are successful entrepreneurs, providing employment to others as well. He made all the alumni feel proud by interacting with them and taking group photographs during the session


Dr. R.K.Dwivedi Principal, Faculty of Engineering, underlined and praised the achievements of alumni in all spheres of life. He applauded their contribution to the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the link between the alumni and the university. One of the alumni, Mr. Sadab Lohaar, shared his exciting journey as he is currently running his own Lohaar Group with a 100-crore turnover. He felt proud to be a part of TMU.


Mr. Prafull Sharma, working as CEO & Co-Founder at Mieux.ai from Paris, shared his views online. He felt nostalgic while sharing his memories and how college had helped him to obtain the best. Mr. Nitin Joshi, working as a Managing Director at UltraTech Cement, shared his experience with great enthusiasm. He also spoke about his career journey in detail and encouraged the students to always remain in attempt mode, whatever the situation arises.


Miss Nimisha Jain, currently associated with Infosys, shared her journey and appreciated the university for providing holistic development, world-class facilities and supportive faculty members. Mr. Eklavya and Mr. Anurag also shared their experiences. The alumni had gathered from different parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Delhi, Haryana, etc. The alumni shared their valuable experiences from college life to jobs and self-employed journeys and appreciated the efforts to initiate the alumni meet.


The atmosphere of the university was filled with zeal, nostalgia and revitalised memories as former students returned to the university after years. Dr. Gulista Khan, Alumni Coordinator thanks all the invited alumni and all the officials of the university. The session was attended by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Dean, Registrar, HODs, faculty, and staff members of the TMU family. The inaugural session was followed by a cultural programme by students and games for alumni members.


The meeting ended with the promise to meet again and everyone bid an emotional farewell to each other and the university. All the HODs of the various departments, including Dr. Vipin Kumar, Prashant Kumar, Indu Tripathi, Rahul Vishnoi, and all members of the alumni committee were present on the occasion. The university organises various events for current students as well as for ex-students. These meetings provide the opportunity to network and develop skills.


The Faculty of Engineering is the top-ranked engineering college in Uttar Pradesh and is recognised by the National Board of Accreditation. It is known for its best placement and academic curriculum. The college offers international internships and placement opportunities to its students at top organisations and has collaborated with IBM, i-Nurture, NIVIDIA, BOSCH, Future Group and TCS-ION so that students can learn practically while pursuing their degrees.
