15 DAYS PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP BY CTLD

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.


Inspired by this Chinese proverb, the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development (CTLD), Teerthanker Mahaveer University organised an exclusive “Personality Development Workshop” for first-year Jain students. This customised training program continued for 15 days starting from 24th August 2022 to 09th September 2022. Held across the auspicious occasion of “Parvadhiraj Daslakshan Mahotsav”, the workshop not only emphasised the spiritual enlightenment of the Jain students but also helped them to enhance their overall personality.


During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. (Dr.) R.N. Krishnia, Director, CTLD, delivered an expert lecture on Holistic Personality Development and its role in the VUCA world to have a sustainable career. Discussing changing business dynamics, he added, “changes are implemented at a rapid speed, thus it becomes crucial for the candidates to upgrade as a new version and tackle the problems of the business world by providing timely and effective solutions.” In other sessions, he covered a wide range of topics such as Environmental Analysis, Success Mantra, Self-Motivation, Creativity, Innovation, Addressing moral issues, Effective & Assertive Communication, etc.


Under the leadership and guidance of Prof. Krishnia, along with the collaborative efforts of the CRC team, effective training sessions were delivered by CTLD trainers and it made this event a successful one. As the participants’ students get familiarised with various components of a mesmerising personality and could experience a drastic change in their personality too.


Vineet Nehra, Director-Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), TMU interacted with the students during the experiential learning workshop and apprised the students of placement guidelines, Internship, Industrial visits and placement opportunities available for TMU students. Adding further, he mentioned that team CRC is committed to providing quality placement to all students by organising placement drives of renowned organisations. Later, Prof. M. P. Singh, Dean, student welfare, also used the workshop platform to share his valuable insights on crucial norms of the University that includes student welfare policies and disciplinary rules and grievance handling system, etc.


Dilip Varshney, Ashish Agrawal, Rajneesh Tiwari, Vipin Chauhan and Vikas Ranjan were the trainers who played a crucial role in this workshop by analysing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating the customised training workshop. Honourable Chancellor, Shri Suresh Jain, GVC, Shri Manish Jain and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Raghuvir Singh, appreciated the efforts and dedication of the CTLD team. All of them extended their heartfelt wishes to all the staff members and students of TMU on the occasion of “Tyag Ka Mahaan Dashlakshan Parv.”


CTLD comprises a team of ace professionals and experts utilising experiential methodology, tools, and techniques that ensure a complete transfer of learning. The expert trainers of the CTLD department deliver interactive training sessions on soft skills related topics such as Goal setting & Action Planning, Developing Self Confidence through Public Speaking, Image Management & Personal Branding, Lateral thinking and Logical Reasoning, among others to the students.
