17.2.2 Strengthening Collaborations and Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) actively promotes cross-sectoral dialogue on the Sustainable Development Goals, recognising that meaningful progress can only emerge through cooperation between government agencies, academia, civil society, industry, and global networks. The University regularly participates in conferences, seminars, policy workshops, and consultative meetings that bring together diverse stakeholders to discuss challenges, solutions, and innovations related to SDG implementation. TMU faculty often contribute expertise on public health, education, gender equity, environmental sustainability, and governance, thereby enriching multi-stakeholder discussions with academic insights.

TMU also hosts SDG-focused events on campus, engaging district officials, NGOs, health departments, environmental organisations, and industry partners in dialogue on sustainable development priorities. These forums encourage knowledge exchange, promote shared responsibility, and facilitate collaborative planning for community-focused initiatives. Through such platforms, TMU helps identify pressing regional issues—ranging from water conservation and waste management to digital inclusion, social welfare, and public health gaps.

The University’s participation in national and international conferences further strengthens its role as a contributor to broader policy conversations. TMU’s researchers and students actively present studies, models, and case experiences that support evidence-based decision-making. These interactions foster long-term partnerships that enhance institutional capacity and amplify the University’s impact.

By consistently engaging in cross-sectoral SDG dialogue, TMU strengthens collaborative networks, builds shared understanding, and advances integrated approaches to sustainable development. This commitment positions the University as a key regional anchor in achieving the SDGs through collective action and informed policy engagement.
