17.2.4 Collaboration for SDG best practice

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) engages in international collaborations that facilitate comparative research, evaluation, and the development of global best practices to advance sustainable development goals. The University partners with foreign universities, research institutes, and global sustainability networks to exchange knowledge, benchmark policy approaches, and analyse successful SDG interventions across diverse socio-economic contexts. These collaborations enable TMU faculty and researchers to participate in multi-country studies, joint publications, cross-institutional workshops, and global policy dialogues on sustainability, public health, renewable energy, gender equity, and climate resilience.

Through its Centres of Excellence and research-driven departments, TMU contributes to the synthesis of international evidence, model-building exercises, and comparative frameworks that guide effective SDG implementation. Faculty members actively engage in international conferences, academic alliances, and thematic research clusters that focus on evaluating global SDG strategies, identifying gaps, and adapting proven models to local realities.

Collaborative research also supports the development of innovative tools, monitoring frameworks, and capacity-building programmes that help refine sustainable development practices. TMU ensures that global insights are translated into actionable strategies on campus and shared with regional partners through policy briefs, training programmes, and outreach initiatives.

By fostering robust international academic partnerships and contributing to the global knowledge ecosystem, TMU strengthens its role as a thought leader committed to shaping evidence-based, internationally benchmarked best practices for SDG achievement.
