Continuing Academic Excellence Spoken Tutorial Indian Institute of Bombay (ST IITB) Skill Enhancement Project

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) continues to champion the cause of inclusive and equitable quality education through its robust association with the Spoken Tutorial Program, IIT Bombay. By renewing its MoU for the Spoken Tutorials initiative, TMU reinforces its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4): "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all." This collaboration plays a crucial role in strengthening the digital competence and technical skill set of a diverse student body, ensuring that world-class educational resources are accessible to everyone regardless of their background or discipline.

The Spoken Tutorial initiative at TMU delivers a comprehensive suite of skill-enhancement modules covering programming languages, software tools, and domain-centric utilities in both English and several Indian languages. This approach breaks the language and accessibility barriers that many learners face, thereby democratizing knowledge and supporting students, faculty, and even local communities. By facilitating self-paced, outcome-oriented learning, the initiative prepares TMU students for academic excellence as well as industry readiness—two cornerstones of SDG-4.

Empowering Education Through TMU–IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial Collaboration

Beyond curriculum integration, the presence of TMU’s leadership, including Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain and executive officials, underscores a top-down commitment to educational innovation. The Spoken Tutorial platform not only empowers budding engineers, managers, and professionals on campus but also extends its reach to regional schools and educators, creating a multiplier effect in knowledge dissemination.

In summary, TMU's steadfast partnership with IIT Bombay's Spoken Tutorial Program is a living embodiment of SDG-4 values. It offers scalable, quality education, nurtures skills for employability, and ensures that lifelong learning opportunities are not a privilege for a few, but a right for all.
