The MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Anatomy is a three-year non-clinical postgraduate programme offered by the Medical College & Research Centre at Teerthanker Mahaveer University. This course provides a comprehensive study of the structure and organisation of the human body, serving as a foundational pillar in medical education. The curriculum integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical learning through dissection, microscopy, and anatomical modelling, enabling students to develop a deep understanding of human anatomy. Core subjects include Gross and Regional Anatomy, Osteology, Myology, Arthrology, Systemic and Neuroanatomy, Applied and Clinical Anatomy, General and Systemic Embryology, Histology, Genetics, Radiological and Surface Anatomy, and Comparative Anatomy and Physical Anthropology. Students are also exposed to evolutionary concepts and staining techniques, which enhance their ability to interpret anatomical variations and pathological conditions. Upon completion, graduates are well-prepared for careers in medical education, anatomical research, forensic science, and allied biomedical fields. To be eligible, candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council.
