Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, inaugurated “Diksharambh 2.0”, a five-day Student Induction Programme for first-year students, as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education.

Organised at the college level, the initiative aims to familiarise freshers with the university’s structure, academic environment, facilities, and rules, thereby enabling them to integrate smoothly into campus life.

Inaugural Session with Distinguished Speakers

The inaugural session commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by the welcome of dignitaries.

Key highlights included:

  • Dr. Vaibhav Rastogi, Joint Registrar, presented an overview of the university.
  • Dr. (Prof.) V.K. Jain, Vice-Chancellor, addressed the students with motivational blessings.
  • Dr. Manjula Jain, Dean of Academics, elaborated on the academic structure.
  • Prof. M.P. Singh, Dean of Students’ Welfare, explained student welfare schemes.
  • Ankit Jain, Digital Marketing Manager, discussed the significance of digital platforms.
  • Prof. Sushil Singh, Chief Proctor, outlined discipline policies.
  • The Controller of Examinations shared details of the examination framework.
  • Chief Warden introduced hostel rules and residential facilities.
  • Dr. Pankaj Singh, Director CTLD, highlighted the role of the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Development.
  • CRC Associate Director explained corporate resource centre activities and industry linkages.
  • Prof. Manu Mishra, Principal, College of Physical Education, introduced sports facilities.
  • The Chief Librarian presented library resources and services.
  • Various Deans and Principals conducted orientation sessions for their respective colleges.

The inaugural day concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Madhav Sharma, followed by the National Anthem.
