Teerthanker Mahaveer University successfully organised TMU SANGAM – Cherishing Old Memories, Building New Bonds, an alumni meet bringing together graduates of the College of Pharmacy and the College of Paramedical Sciences. The event, held at the Multipurpose Hall of the College of Nursing, was hosted jointly by the two colleges in association with the Alumni Relations Cell.

The meet welcomed around 140 alumni from B.Pharm (2008–2016), Pharm. D (2013–2017), and Paramedical Sciences (2017–2023), along with current students and faculty members. The gathering created a warm and nostalgic atmosphere, celebrating the enduring connection between TMU and its alumni.

 

Objective of the Event

The purpose of the alumni meet was to:

  • Reconnect former students with their alma mater
  • Encourage networking and knowledge-sharing
  • Celebrate alumni achievements
  • Strengthen TMU’s alumni community and foster long-term engagement

Key Highlights of the Event

1. Inauguration and Welcome Address

The programme began with a cordial welcome by the Principal of the College of Pharmacy, followed by an address from the Assistant Director, Alumni Relations. Alumni expressed joy and excitement as they reunited with former teachers, classmates, and friends.

2. Chief Guest’s Address

The event was honoured by the presence of Prof. V K Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, TMU, who delivered an inspiring keynote address. He highlighted:

  • TMU’s continuous institutional progress
  • The remarkable contributions of its alumni in healthcare
  • The importance of an active alumni network

His words motivated alumni to stay connected with the university and contribute to its growth.

3. Cultural Performances

A vibrant cultural programme featured:

  • Musical performances
  • Dance presentations

These performances by the students of Pharmacy and Paramedical Sciences showcased their talent and added liveliness to the event.
