We have entered into the fourth year of our establishment. The preceding three
years have indeed been eventful and satisfying. In our voyage of excellence, we
began with a modest start in Oct. 2008, and are able to position ourselves as
one of the most dynamic and vibrant university offering wide range of value
adding professional courses. I am happy to say that the university is now
considered as a catalytic force in socio-economic transformation not only of the
state of Uttar Pradesh but also of the nation. It gives me immense satisfaction
and confidence when people talk high of the academic programs being run by the
university.
Nothing pains me more than the fact that none of the Indian educational
institution is in the list of 100 top universities of the world. That too, for a
nation of more than one billion people, with the legacy of Takshila and Nalanda,
the two great centres of higher learning that attracted scholars from across the
world for long. I therefore have set an ambitious goal of placing Teerthanker
Mahaveer University in the coveted list of top 100 universities of the world.
I know Teerthanker Mahaveer University has just made a beginning to achieve this
Himalayan task. The task though we understand is difficult, but I believe the
type of culture we have cultivated and competent team of professionals we have,
will take the university to its rightful place in time to come.
I call upon all the stakeholders to be part of this journey and strengthen our
resolve to make this university a preferred destination of learning. I welcome
aspiring youth to join us and realize their dreams.
