The Indian economy is projected to grow at around 8% to 9% annually for next few years. To realize this growth rate, massive investment in infrastructure, industry and other sectors of the economy will be required. It among other things requires trained and multi-skilled engineers. To serve this end, the College of Engineering was created in 2008, to impart knowledge in major disciplines of engineering. It aims to groom well qualified and quality engineers who can work in tune with the fast changes brought about by the process of globalization. Apart from imparting domain specific knowledge of engineering, efforts are to give knowledge and skills of subjects such as, project management, economics, law, entrepreneurship, finance & accounts, human resource development, industrial psychology, infrastructure related aspects, teamwork and leadership, business management, written and spoken communication and contemporary industrial culture.
